Preview Final Night Darts Masters – Brisbane – 2019

Simon Whitlock v Kyle Anderson

The quarter-finals kick off the night with some great matchups. In the opening match, it’s an all Aussie affair with Australia’s number one ranked player Simon Whitlock taking on Kyle Anderson.

Whitlock was strong against qualifier Brendon McCaudsland in his opening match, Anderson player Peter Wright and was lucky to get away with the match but his check out was great.

I think this outcome will go to Anderson

Damon Heta v Gary Anderson

Match two sees the sensation of the first night Damon Heta taking on former world champion Gary Anderson.  Heta took on Last years World Series Champion James Wade in an encounter that had a 164 checkout from Heta.  Gary showed great poise beating Corey Cadby 6-1 and will take all of the Australian Open Champions skill and patience to beat Anderson.

This will go to Anderson Comfortably.

Rob Cross v Raymond van Gerwen

The world championship match sees the current world matchplay champion Rob Cross plays RVB in the third match of the night. In his swan song tour, RVB got to pass another of the Aussie qualifiers Haupai Puha it wasn’t convening but he got there.  Cross, on the other hand, had a tough encounter against the Aussie legend James Bailey the match went all the way with Cross winning 6-5 after trailing 2-4 in the early parts of the match.

Tonight it is Cross

Daryl Gurney v Michael van Gerwen

World champion Michael van Gerwen takes on Daryl Gurney in the final of the quarter-finals and this should be a corker. MVG’s form is up and down and Gurney has been a little unlucky in his last couple of tournaments. If Gurney can get MVG under pressure he should go on to win and win well

Gurney for me
