Simon Whitlock

Simon Whitlock – the darting wizard who blew the roof off the Alexandra Palace in 2010 with his blockbusting high checkout finishes and devastating power scoring is a man on a mission. After mostly plying his trade in his native Australia, Simon is now fully committed to playing the full PDC tour. Great news for dart fans – who will now get to see more of this highly talented and explosive player, but not so good news for opposition players – who will no doubt soon be wishing that this brilliant darting wizard would walk up the yellow brick all the way back to the land of Oz.

What The Dart Place Think:

As with most new sporting equipment the first time you use it it is the best thing that you have ever seen, well I have been using these for a while now and they are the playing dart of choice, the picture shows the setup I use the Robson flights and short shafts.

The Whitlock’s fit comfortable with the style I have, the only small fault is that they can get a little slippery, but that is a minor thing.

Once again a large brand has nice darts but little add-on when you purchase in the packaging you receive your three darts flight, Shafts and dart tip protector even though they are under $100.00 at Bullseye Darts Australia I am always surprised that there is never anything like a redemption for an autographed poster or such, just a thought.

As a player that likes to set my thumb on the grip, these are perfect. They allow me to throw with easy and not a great amount of pressure on the grip which when in tight situations is great as you don’t seem to tense up only in the mind, :).

The weight feels evenly distributed which in my opinion is the key to the success of these darts, you just feel in control of your game, these are a true players darts.  I have now played many a game with the Target RVB 25g 95% Tungsten 2017 darts and these are superior to them.

Being 90% tungsten I don’t know why but they always feel great at this amount with all manufacturers it seem to be the sweet spot of metal mix.

Conclusion :

If you grip the dart like I Simon and I do, well you are on a winner, will take a lot to shift me from these darts, Winmau never stops making them, please.  Put these on the Christmas List.
