World Series of Darts – Brisbane 2019 – Preview
The 2019 World Series of Darts continues this Friday 9th August at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre, the first leg of Oceania tour concluding on the 10th August.
Last years winner Rob Cross returns to defend his title after being crowned the 2019 Matchplay champion last month, his form has been outstanding this year and will be hard to be this year once again. There are a couple of standouts that have great form leading into this event, Peter Wright having won the World Cup with Gary Anderson
The out of sorts Michael van Gerween is down under with Daryl Gurney who had a great run at the World Matchplay only to be knocked out by the eventual winner Cross. The other internationals for the event are Australias own Simon Whitlock and the retiring Raymond Van Barneveld, this is a great opportunity to say goodbye to his legion of global fans.
The Aussie and Kiwi contingent is headed upper by PDC regulars Kyle Anderson and Corey Cadby with the true locals on show with the inform and Innagural winner of the Australian Open Damon Heta, James Bailey, Ben Robb, kiwis Haupai Puha, Koha Kokiri and Brendon McCausland.
The draw will be out shortly so stay tuned.
